All registered Nurses , Midwives , Art Therapists , Drama therapists , Music therapists , Chiropodists/podiatrists , Dietitians, Occupational therapists , Operating Department Practitioners , Orthoptists , Osteopaths , Paramedics , Physiotherapists , Prosthetists and Orthotists, Radiographers , Speech and language therapists.
Will be free to book and attend but the cost of £143.51 will be taken out of your £333 CPD Allowance for this year.

PERSONALISED CARE FOR OBESITY - EDUCATION PROGRAMMES 9:30 – 3:30pm (lunch provided)
Tips and techniques on how to have those difficult conversations regarding losing weight!!
Outcomes
• Improve our understanding of obesity and its complexities: This includes the underlying causes and contributing factors, as well as the impact on physical, mental and social health.
• Improving patient outcomes: A desire to improve patient outcomes and quality of life for people with obesity, and to make a positive impact in their patients' health and well-being.
• Communication skills: Training in effective communication skills, including how to have sensitive conversations about weight, to help build trust and rapport with patients.
• Improving our toolkit: Offer a range of practical ways to support self-management that actively engage patients living with obesity to participate in own their health and well-being.
• Access to current evidence based research on the topic of obesity, focusing on lifestyle modifications (diet and physical activity) and improving adherence.
• Raise awareness of weight Stigma and bias: Training in reducing stigma and bias towards people with obesity, to provide empathetic and non-judgmental care.
• Behavioural change strategies: Understanding of how to support behaviour change in people with obesity, including goal setting, motivation, and effective communication techniques.
